The book has three parts. First part explains what is blue ocean strategy and provides an analytical tool (Strategy canvas) and the four actions framework (eliminate-reduce-raise-create). Second part advises on how to formulate blue ocean strategy. Third part specifies guidelines for execution of blue ocean strategy. The book provides many examples such as Cirque du Soleil, Netjets, Southwest Airlines, Curves, Home Depot, Dyson, etc. to illustrate the concepts.
